Wednesday October 18 marked the return of the Prime League winter segment for the Lausanne squad. As a reminder, we left the summer segment with a timid 4th place, unfortunately a long way from our objectives.

Since then, the team has undergone a number of changes. But don't panic, we're going to shed some light on this mercato point.

The Prime League is the highest official league on Riot Games' European circuit for the game 'League of Legends'. This league represents the "DACH" region, corresponding to Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The Prime League is usually divided into 3 segments, a spring segment, a summer segment and a winter segment. Each segment comprises 7 regular-season matches and concludes with finals to determine which teams will move up a division or, conversely, down a division.

Movements in the Lausanne team

During the off-season, we made two major changes to the mid lane and support positions.

In the middle, the choice was not easy between 2 players. For our opening match we started with "MAXII", a young player with the atypical "Ivern Mid" secret pick. In the end, it was his rival 'Vango' (with whom we were crowned Romandie Champions!) who continued the Lausanne adventure on the middle lane for the rest of the competition.

In the botlane, it's Hookin who takes on the Support role. He is a talented young player to whom we are offering an opportunity to develop in an environment conducive to rising to prominence.

In short, the core of the team that was formed for last year's SwitzerLAN remains intact with 'Firweer', 'Moto' and 'Bobby'. However, there are still a few minor changes to be made.

Moto has decided to take a break, but is still under contract. So our new arrival 'NowFin' will take on the role of regular Jungler, acting as interim.

Then, at the start of the season, we had 'Filou', a former French second division player with 'Antic eSport Club', come in to replace our regular 'Bobby' in the marksman role, more commonly known as 'ADC', for a last-minute rescue.

To sum up, here is our new team for this Prime League, Winter segment:

Play-offs objective

With this new team, our ambition is clearly to do better than the previous split. Not qualifying for the play-offs was a disappointment and we're determined to put that right.

For the time being, we currently find ourselves 5th in the rankings (5-3) after 4 days of competition. However, we still have 3 matches to play where most teams have only one. So nothing's decided yet! There are still 3 BO2s (Best of 2) left to close out this eventful regular season. So we've got every chance of reaching our goal of the Play-Offs before we can unveil our plans for 2024! #OneClickAhead.
